On December 21, 2000 Safe Transportation Training Specialists completed its last training session of year 2000 at Goodfellow Air Force Base, San Angelo Texas. With Christmas quickly approaching the Instructors at the academy took advantage of their temporary relief from their teaching duties to learn a little more about tank truck emergency response.

As expected the instructors from the Fire Academy proved to be some of our most challenging students of the year and lived up to the term "Our Nations Finest". While some students would be satisfied to accept an instructors word as fact, the students for these two brief days were personnel who are responsible for instructing the future of our armed forces, and it was rare to never that any of them would fail to clarify a point, question a theory or challenge the instructors knowledge. From the perspective of an instructor these classes are the type that you love to teach and the ones that you remember most.

Our sincere thanks to the 312th Training Squadron for their hospitality, the opportunity, and their service and devotion to our nation and the fire service.

The 312th Training Squadron's mission is to provide: The Department of Defense and International Customers with Mission Ready Fire Protection and Special Instruments Graduates and provide mission support for the Air Force Tactical Applications Center (AFTAC). The 312th Training Squadron provides services to all branches of the US Armed Forces.
